Joe Callo '52 received the Samuel Eliot Morison Award for his book "John Paul Jones: America's First Sea Warrior" (March 2006, Naval Institute Press). The book is described as "a different look at one of America's best known and least understood heros of the War of Independence." Callo lives in Manhattan and worked in advertising and network television before beginning to write full time twelve years ago. This is his fifth book.
