A private tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's current exhibitions and permanent collection including Pen and Parchment: Drawing in the Middle Ages accompanied by a curator and Steve Scher, B.A. '56, Ph.D. '66. Followed by cocktails on The Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden. Steve Scher is a specialist in Medieval and Renaissance Art and a member of four visiting committees at the Metropolitan Museum of Art: Medieval, European Sculpture and Decorative Arts, Paper Conservation, Object Conservation. He taught at Brown and organized three major exhibitions with catalogues: 1969 RISD Museum; 1994, The Frick Collection, The National Gallery, Washington, D.C., The National Gallery of Scotland; The Frick Collection, 1997. YAAMNY is hosting the first-ever alumni trip to Iceland for the August 22nd marathon, half-marathon, 10K, and 3K races and to see glaciers and volcanic craters, walk on ancient lava flows, swim in geothermal pools, visit other scenic sites, and participate in local cultural activities.
