The Women’s Foreign Policy Group invites you to attend a special day of briefings and a VIP luncheon with top UN officials and ambassadors on pressing issues facing the UN including UN reform and reorganization, peacekeeping and peace building, Security Council challenges, and humanitarian issues. Speakers will include: John Holmes, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator; Alicia Bárcena Ibarra, Under-Secretary-General for Management; and David Nabarro, UN Coordinator for Avian and Human Flu. The WFPG UN Study Visit offers a unique inside look into the UN’s policymaking processes and the factors that shape decision-making processes and opportunity to connect one-on-one with members of the foreign policy community drawn from Washington, DC and New York including senior-level diplomats, corporate executives, and leaders of NGOs and international organizations.
