Dwight Hall at Yale is a student-run non-profit organization that operates separately and independently of the University. Undergraduates hold the executive positions and drive the programmatic and operational activities of the non-profit. The ten-member Executive Committee (ExComm) develops and executes the Hall’s annual priorities and, in so doing, collaborates with the professional staff, the Board of Directors, and the student Cabinet (a group of representatives from each of Dwight Hall’s member groups). Each member of the ExComm has a delineated role and additionally works within the group to collectively support and promote the work of the Hall.

Any sophomore or junior who has been an active member of a Dwight Hall group for at least one semester may become a candidate for the ExComm; each candidate may run for up to two positions. Candidates may “drop-down” to run for a second position during the election if their first bid ends unsuccessfully.

All ExComm members who are eligible for federal work study can get paid an hourly wage for their work on the Committee. ExComm members who are not eligible for work study will receive a semesterly stipend ($350 for Co-Coordinators, $300 for all other positions).
