YaleCollege alumnus working in arts & cultural field would like to discover compatible couples or singles interested in day-sailing from Westchester on my traditional 40-foot schooner. I often sail with my wife (an attorney) and sometimes with our MountHolyoke daughter (I guess college-age offspring might be welcome, too) but it's my passion more than theirs, and my schedule is more flexible, so I also find myself single-handing.
Thus experience is not necessary, though some sailing knowledge would be nice, but if you don't know the difference between a peak halyard and a throat halyard, that wouldn't be surprising.
